The members of parliament want a case to be filed against the officers as soon as possible as the nation seeks offer justice to families of the students who lost their lives following the tragic incident.

The attack led to the interdiction of Northeastern regional coordinator Ernest Munyi, Garissa AP Commander Christopher Muthee, Garissa County Commissioner Njenga Miiri, , Garissa DCI boss Musa Yego and county commander Charles Wambugu.

“The government should ensure the interdicted senior administrative officers and police county commanders prosecuted for criminal negligence,” reads the report.

The committee also called upon the decentralization of Recce Squad to the county headquaters to prevent future attacks.
