The National Alliance party Nakuru branch leadership wrangles continue despite the planned merger with URP party to form Jubilee Party next month.
There's been a lot going on at the party headquarters at Milimani, Nakuru recently.
On Wednesday, former Nakuru Member of Parliament David Manyara was unanimously declared the branch chairman by more than a 150 TNA members who had met at the party headquarters.
But hours after the elections, the ousted chairman, Harrison Muiruri, rejected Manyara’s endorsement and accused the former MP of hijacking the party.
"I am the bona fide chairman of the party; there was no election, and I am not aware who called and chaired the meeting that took place on Wednesday since it’s the chair who should do that,’’ said Muiruri on the phone.
Muiruri has called for a members meeting on Saturday to be held at the same venue.
