Loose tongue politicians across the country with the tendency of breaking the law and spitting hate remarks have been called upon to stop or else be detained just like the Embakasi East Member of parliament Babu Owino.

According to National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) Kisii county Director John Bichage, the institution is currently vigilant to ensure that they get hold of those who don’t follow the law to the latter.

Speaking during awareness campaign that was held in Kisii town on Wednesday the director warned social media users and politicians against spreading hate speech or rather uttering words that are likely to amount to incitement as they will be arrested.

“Kenya is a peaceful country and we all need to support the established institutions to carry out their mandate as that will ensure that we keep true to our co existence” said Bichage

The director also said that in Kisii County they have been able to arrest 15 persons with cases related to hate speech and most of them being bloggers and called upon them to tame their tails before the law lands on them.

This comes barely after Embakasi East MP was released on Sh500,000 cash bail after spending two nights in police custody.
