Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire believes that Deputy President William Ruto will be used and dumped just like former deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi if he continues to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s TNA.
Mudavadi, the Amani National Congress party leader, recently accused the TNA political wing of the ruling coalition Jubilee of hoodwinking him to sign a pre-election pact in 2013 where he was poised to be the presidential candidate before he was ‘thrown’ out of the equation.
On Monday, Bosire faulted Ruto of ‘trusting’ political cartels whom he claimed would eventually dump him in 2022.
“Sometimes it’s good to learn from history but the DP has refused to do so. His 2022 bid will replicate what had happened to Mudavadi in 2013. TNA cheated him to sign a pre-election pact only to deny him shortly, a reason why he has remained politically irrelevant,” said the ODM national treasurer.
“The Deputy President’s case will be no different from Mudavadi’s because he has trusted political cartels who are known to be protecting power by voting one of their own. They know Ruto as an outsider would not be tolerable, and recently we all heard even top politicians well connected with the cartels saying that Ruto’s 2022 bid isn’t a guarantee,” observed Bosire.
He challenged Ruto to re-evaluate his political marriage with TNA and support a more honest coalition for the sake of reviving his 2022 ambitions.
“A good student should learn signs and I think time has come for Ruto to learn too. He should re-evaluate his political marriage bu supporting more honest coalitions than TNA otherwise he should be ready to stay in the political cold just like Mudavadi.
