Mr Musyoka has been constantly linked with a last minute move to Jubilee due to alleged pressure from a number of politicians from his Ukambani backyard.

But Ogeto who spoke to the reporter on the phone said Kalonzo will have more chances of trying his lack for the presidency if he supported Mr Odinga in 2017 polls.

“I have heard a number of politicians especially from Ukambani calling for him to ditch Cord for Jubilee. That will be a political suicide of his career and a great risk for him as a person. He has a future in Cord than Jubilee,” Ogeto said.

“I believe Mr Odinga is going for the presidency in 2017 and maybe even if he wins chances are he won’t defend the seat in 2022. He equally doesn’t have that tendency of betraying people who support him and I think Kalonzo can capitalise on that to become president,” he added.

He said Jubilee could not accommodate a leader of Musyoka’s caliber given he once served as Kenya’s number two.

“I also don’t think Musyoka as a person can serve under junior people in Jubilee government. In case he joins Jubilee, that will be the end of his political career and I am sure of that,” Ogeto said.
