Gladys Wanga now wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to desist from ‘witch-hunting’ Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and divert his energies to constructive issues.
The Mombasa Governor has been undergoing turbulent moments with KRA investigating his bank accounts and the examination body KNEC questioning his academic credentials.
Instead, Wanga says Uhuru should order a probe to former devolition Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru for allegedly embezzling National Youth Service resources.
“Uhuru is missing the plot. He is targeting a very innocent man instead of focusing on issues affecting the nation,” said Wanga, a close confident of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
She added: “Some people like Waiguru should be probed for NYS and not Joho who is very clean. These politics of witch-hunt cannot go anywhere.”
In his recent tour to the Coast, Uhuru opened yet another fiery battle with Governor Joho by accusing him of sabotaging Jubilee government agenda in the Coast.
The two leaders have been at loggerheads with Joho accusing Uhuru of sidelining the coastal region from critical development issues.
