Moiben MP Silas Tiren together with URP Secretary General in Moiben William Chelaite have defended Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter following an exposé on Sunday.
In the exposé, the MP was caught on camera harassing police officers at Gilgil weigh-bridge.
The two have told-off those calling for Keter's punishment saying they are ready to defend him. They say that Keter's critics have decided to ignore the 'fact' that Keter was fighting corruption.
"As the President has been saying, there is no particular area where corruption is allowed. That is what Keter was fighting," said Tiren.
Chelaite has termed the URP legislators who have failed to stand with Keter as betrayers.
"URP members who I can say they are betrayers have refused to stand with Keter who was fighting corruption. A whole party and the government refusing to stand with one of their own is very bad," he said.
They have now dared anyone to 'touch' Keter and witness a storm from North-Rift youths. The two were speaking in Moiben yesterday.
