He has been told to stay away from NASA politics and instead concentrate on getting re-elected.] (Photo/biggestkaka.co.ke)A section of leaders from Western Kenya have called upon National Assembly leader Aden Duale to stop attacking Amani National Congress (ANC) leader and Ford Kenya leader ahead of the next general elections, Kenyan Post reports.
The leaders have told asked the Garissa Town MP not to meddle into the affairs of the National Super Alliance (NASA), saying that the leaders were chosen by the people.
They also cautioned Duale against setting his foot in the region to drum up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto before August.
Addressing the press during a two day workshop organized by the United Nations, Federal Party of Kenya (FPK) leader Andrew Kutitilia asked the legislator to desist from making disaparaging remarks against leaders affliated to the alliance.
He called upon Duale to stop verbal attack on Mudavadi and Wetangula, adding that they were chosen to lead the Mulembe nation.
The sentiments of the leaders come at a time when President Uhuru Kenyatta and Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga are drumming up support from different parts of the nation as we head to the polls.
The two leaders have expressed confidence that they will make their supporters proud come August 8. Earlier, Cord leader had threatened to boycott the polls until Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission (IEBC) assures opposition of free and fair exercise.
