Outspoken Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ng’eno has warned Deputy President William Ruto against ‘disrespecting’ opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The KANU leaning MP also accused Ruto of disrespecting South Rift leaders whenever he tours the region during campaigns.
On Tuesday, Ng’eno said Ruto would never reach the level Odinga has reached and said his antics could create more enmity with many Kenyans.
“I am telling Ruto that he should never compare himself with Odinga. He cannot reach his level despite his position at the moment which he usually disrespects those who bestowed power upon him,” he said.
“He is fond of undermining us and I want to remind him that he won’t proceed above that. His arrogance will be tamed by Kenyans in August. It’s time he respects Odinga,” added Ng’eno.
Along with Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and Narok West MP Patrick Ntutu, the trios are leading a revolution against DP Ruto, who is viewed as supremo defacto in the region.
Although his outfit supports reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ng’eno maintained that he will support Odinga in August elections.
