Opposition alliance NASA leaders Nairobi chapter have cautioned President Uhuru Kenyatta against continued onslaught against the outfit's presidential candidate Raila Odinga ahead of the August polls.
Led by Nairobi governor Evans Kidero, the leaders challenged President Kenyatta to focus on articulating his agenda to Kenyans.
He further accused the Head of State of using Mr Odinga as his campaign tool.
"We launched our manifesto on Saturday grounded on social justice, elimination of illiteracy, ill health, poverty and bad and poor leadership. Why don’t you tell us what your agenda for Kenyans will be?" The county chief posed.
On his part, senatorial hopeful on ODM Party ticket Edwin Sifuna challenged Jubilee leaders to accord NASA leaders respect as the country gears up to the general elections.
"Respect is two-way. We are asking the president to lead by example. That he must show respect to the opposition leaders. We are not going to expect peaceful elections where you keep on insulting our leaders instead of addressing the failures of this government," he said.
