Lecturers have resulted to inviting musical bands to play musicals as they protest.

This was witnessed, Wednesday, when Pamoja Youth Band joined dons in Nairobi streets, as they played musical instruments, while the lecturers sang solidarity songs.

Led by Erick Jeveri, they said they were hired by the dons, and could not turn down the offer, since it was a normal job for them.

They matched along Nairobi streets, causing traffic snarl-ups, as they called for implementation of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) signed with the National government.

Lecturers were promised a Sh10 billion offer, for a 3 per cent salary basic salary increment and a 1.6 per cent increase for house allowances.

Led by Uasu secretary general Constantine Wasonga, the dons presented a petition at the office of the Cabinet Secretary, Dr Fred Matiang'i.
