[Photo: @citizentvkenya]Lecturers of public universities on Thursday afternoon held a meeting at the University of Nairobi, before starting to protesting on Nairobi city streets, demanding implementation of their CBA.Led by Kenya Universities Staff Union (Kusu) Secretary General Charlse Mukhwaya, the university dons pleged peaceful demonstrations towards the Ministry of Education Offices in the city centre, with aims to push Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i to address their plightAddressing the press, Mukhwaya indicated they would as well present a petition to Matiang'i, with a copy of the CBA, which saw them sign pact with government, to receive Sh10 billion in full, as salary increment.He said they are were ready to continue picketing, until the government implements the CBA, accusing Matiang'i of shortchanging terms of the agreement, by saying they agreed to be paid in portions.
