The University Academic Staff Union (Uasu) on Saturday urged university lecturers to disregard any form of communication from university management in the spirit of the don's strike.
Uasu Secretary-General, Constantine Wasonga, urged lecturers to disregard all directives and Memos issued by university management.
According to the union leader, any communication on the current situation should only come from Uasu and not any other union.
"During the pendency of the strike, actionable communication only comes from the union," said Mr. Wasonga.
Uasu was reacting to an order from the labour court made on Friday requiring lecturers to resume duty on Monday.
The labour court, through judge Onesmus Makau declared the lecturers' strike unlawful and unprotected.
He then ordered the dons to report to their workstations on Monday.
Apart from the ruling, the court ordered the universities to present the 2017-2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) to the Minister of Labour within 3 weeks.
However, the University Academic Staff Union (Uasu) appealed the court ruling and vowed to continue with the strike until when the government will agree to meet their demands.
Education in the universities has been paralysed for quite a long time now since the onset of the lecturers' strike 5 weeks ago.
The dons have been demanding for a counter-proposal which they say must be implemented before they can resume duty.
