National Transport and Safety Authority boss Lee Kinyanjui is set to join the race for Nakuru county top job in the next polls.

He said he will not renew his contract once in ends on Thursday to give himself time and space to vie for the post and meet the people.

Mr Kinyanjui was appointed to lead the board on September 2013.

He was the Nakuru Constituency parliamentarian between 2007 to 2013.

He also vied for the county gubernatorial post in 2013 before losing in the nominations to Kinuthia Mbugua.

He now joins the list of other individuals eyeing the post on a Jubilee Party ticket including the current governor Kinuthia Mbugua, NACADA boss John Mututho,Victor Ngatia and Senator James Mungai.
