Cord leader is soon going to have his name in a song.
The song is set to be composed by the controversial Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria.
The song will be based on remarks he made that alluded of an assassination plot against Cord leader, Raila Odinga.
According to Kuria, the song is to be named ‘Mbembe’ (Gikuyu word for maize) and will be released in a few weeks time.
Kuria said he came up with the new idea after he was accused of propagating hate speech against the opposition leader for using the word ‘mbembe’.
“You know these journalists are not good at all. I once mentioned that Raila Odinga should eat mbembe and they went ahead to translate it to mean he should be killed with a bullet. That is not what I meant. I meant that he should either eat maize in Githeri or maize ground as ugali,” he said.
He, however, did not disclose the deeper details of the song and video, but keenly noted that he is a clean man, cleaner than those who publicly claim are born-again.
Kuria was remanded at the Pangani police station together with five other legislators for allegedly making statements that were considered hate speech a few weeks ago.
