Speaking when he visited the ongoing projects being carried by the area by National Youth Services, he said that he will ensure all youths in the area understand the dangers of drug abuse.

While saying drugs was hindering development, Tong’i said he will join hands with the government to ensure the vice is eradicated completely from the area.

“We are ready to eradicate drugs and illicit brew. We want to have people who love God in this constituency,” he added.

The Mp called upon the youths from the area to embrace the NYS programme so that they can be able to empower themselves economically.

He also warned individuals involved in the vice of dire consequences from the government and also put on notice chiefs and their assistants whose areas of jurisdiction will be found with illicit liquor.

He called upon all area residents to ensure that they report all the illicit brewers so that an immediate action can be taken.

He observed that those involved in corruption in the country will be exposed soon, including the cartels fleecing Kenyans.
