A leopard attacked residents of Ngaaini Village in Murang’a county on Friday night, leaving six seriously injured.

The wounded were rushed to Murang’a district hospital for treatment.

A nurse at the hospital, Salome Kimani, said four of the victims were treated and discharged, while two people who had serious wounds were admitted.

The victims of the wild animal attack has face, head, hand and leg injuries.

The enraged villagers beat the leopard to death. It is yet to be established where the leopard came from.

The victims have asked the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) to offset their medical bills.
