(Photo/citizentv.co.ke)After staging an underwhelming performance in the just concluded Kenya Premier League where they emerged eighth,AFC Leopards have now vowed to splash the cash in the December-January transfer window with an aim of bringing in at least eight new signings.The club's organizing secretary Timothy Lilumbi on Friday revealed to a local sports website that Ingwe will be hoping to bring in a goalkeeper,a left back,two strikers,a winger and two midfilders and a utility defender saying the 13 times champions have endured harrowing times ever since Marcus Abwao got injured"Since Marcus Abwao got injured in mid-season we have been working with make shift left backs and we have to sign one more left back this window.We will also sign a utility defender,two centre forwards,a winger,an attacking midfielder ,a holding midfilder and one goalkeeper .These are the areas the coach wants strengthened to make the team competitive next season. We want to chchallenge for all trophies next season ", Lilumbi told Futaa.com.The club will also be letting go of several players who have fallen out of favor with goalkeeper Ian Otieno and Burundian Alexis Kitenge leading the pack.However,it was not all gloom at the den with Leopards clawing their way to the GOtv glory where they thumped Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 to lift the league cup.
