Deputy President William Ruto has asked the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) to stop its continued attacks on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Speaking on Sunday at Tononoka grounds, the Deputy President said IEBC is an independent body that should not be politicised, alleging that CORD's onslaught of the commission and call for demonstrations against it is a sense of defeat by the coalition.
Ruto further alleged that the opposition is scheming to reject the outcome of next year's general elections, thereby throwing the country into chaos and dissary.
"IEBC is a constitutional body and political functionaries should not bring their confusion from their parties to it. We will not accept chaos during and after the elections," he said.
The Deputy President has been in the Coastal region for the last four days to drum up support for the newly formed Jubilee Party.
