Uhuru has termed the criticisms from the opposition as null and void since they (opposition), were once in the government but failed to do what the Jubilee government has been able to achieve all through the four years.

The president made the remarks on Thursday in  Kanduyi when on his way to Kibabii University for the university's graduation ceremony.

According to President Uhuru, Raila and the opposition were derailing the development projects of the Jubilee administration by criticizing all the steps taken by the government to alleviate the lives of the people.

"Raila and his opposition team should let the Jubilee administration work without criticizing all the development projects put forth for the benefit of Kenyans. They (opposition) were once in government but they never fulfilled their promises to the people. As a government, we are going to develop the whole country without favouring anyone and to achieve this, we need unity and cooperation," said Uhuru.

The opposition chief has been vocal in unearthing major corruption cases where huge amounts of money have been allegedly looted by individuals in the government.

According to the opposition, the government has failed to tame corruption in the country, hence justifying that they cannot rule for another term.

Raila has also been vocal in disputing some development agenda by the government either linking it to corruption or threat to the environment.
