Siaya governor Cornel Rasanga has said he is ready to go to jail with the National super Alliance (Nasa) flag bearer, Raila odinga, if he is arrested over alleged hate speech remarks.

Raila has been accused by Jubilee leaders for inciting the Maasai community during his campaign tour in Kajiado, last week.

The opposition leader has however refuted the claims.

Speaking to journalists in Ugenya, Tuesday, Rasanga said the ODM leader did nothing wrong by telling the residents not to sell their lands at throwaway prices.

“I am repeating the words Raila said. If it is incitement, let me be arrested with Raila,” said Rasanga.

Speaking separately in Gem, nominated MP Oburu Odinga defended his brother from Jubilee attacks.

“There is no way advice to the Maa community on protecting their land from grabbers amounts to incitement,” said Oburu.

“Why should Raila be arrested when those who belong to jail, such as some key Jubilee leaders who brew hate speech, go scot free?” he wondered.
