Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga to keep off 2022 politics.
Mule said the duo's handshake was meant to unite Kenyans and not strategizing for presidential succession in 2022.
"We believe the handshake that happened between you was to heal Kenya. If it's about 2022 succession, then it would be a big disappointment to Kenyans," Mule said.
He addressed the press at his office in Tala town on Thursday.
Mule said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka should be involved if the handshake is about 2022 succession since he's the official opposition leader.
" Kalonzo Musyoka is the designated 2022 presidential candindate and if Uhu-Raila handshake is about 2022 politics, then he should be included," Mule said.
He said the handshake should bring forth equity among Kenyan tribes to avoid circulation of presidency around two communities.
"If the handshake is genuine, it should bring forth rotational presidency where a Pokomo can be president, a Taita, Duruma and even Kisiis and Kambas, not two selfish tribes," he added.
On local matters, Mule promised to repair drainage systems at Tala market .
Mule said engineers were ready to commence the work at any time.
He made the promise only a day after heavy rains wrecked havoc in the market on Wednesday following heavy rains pondering the region.
