Government spokesman Erick Kiraithe has called upon Kenyans to stop politicizing everything that the police is trying to do.
Speaking to KTN on Tuesday, the former police spokesman regretted that a section of Kenyans had taken to condemning the service even when they were doing the right thing by trying to safeguard their own security.
In a response to the ongoing operations by police officers and detectives at the home of controversial businessman Jimmy Wanjigi in Nairobi over alleged existence of arms, Kiraithe was steadfast that any gun out there in the public was a threat to the security of all.
"We must learn not to politicize everything that our officers do.It is unfortunate that when police officers arrest criminals then we start branding the suspect as Nasa or Jubilee. If they launch investigations into individuals then we are the first to judge them forgetting that any weapons and guns that is illegally out there is harmful to the peace and security of all citizens regardless of whether you're Nasa or Jubilee", he said.
A section of Kenyans have since expressed reservations over the way the police have been handling pro Nasa demonstrators where a number of lives have been lost with accusing fingers being pointed at the force over their alleged brutality.
