A section of Kisii MCAs have promised to give back to the society by supporting the church and showing good morals that can be emulated by the youngsters.
Speaking at Riamang'ata church in Magenche Ward, Bomachoge Borabu Sub-county, area MCA Timothy Oguku challenged leaders to support churches in the county and be role models to the society.
His Kisii Central counterpart Pius Abuki asked church leaders to guide the political leadership so that they may live to Christian values.
“Let us support the church because it is a holy place where people congregate for fellowship. That is the only way we can give back to the society,” said Oguku.
“Church leadership has a great responsibility to guide political leaders so that they can lead citizens in the right way,” observed Abuki.
The two leaders were speaking at the church fundraiser event, whereby they also remembered the affected families of Garissa University terrorist attack that left 152 dead, and asked the government to foot burial expenses of their kins.
