Maangi said it was illogical for principals whose schools have been affected by fire tragedies to be victimized over the incidents, he defending them against such incidents as they had no control over fire incidents being witnessed across the country.

Speaking at Gusii Stadium on Tuesday during the official launch of the Kisii County Education Bursary Fund, Maangi condemned cases where disciplinary actions have been taken against principals whose schools experienced fire tragedies.

"We condemn cases where principals whose schools were affected by fire tragedies have been interdicted by their employer, the TSC instead appeal for due process to be followed in addressing the affected principals' cases," stated Maangi.

Maangi assured principals from Kisii County whose schools were affected by fire tragedies that the County Government will continue standing with them though education was not fully devolved to the counties.
