Muiruri said that Kiambu leaders do not care for the people they represent, promising to attend help the bereaved families only to back out at the last moment of the burial.

Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, Juja Member of Parliament Francis Munyua and Thika town Member of Parliament Alice Ng’ang’a were among the notable absentees from the burial of the Magu’s.

The legislator said that leaders should drop their political differences and join hands to support the Magu family, who lost the entire five members over mysterious ‘religious ritual’.

“Just because you cannot tolerate your counterpart does not mean you cannot tolerate your people when they call on you,” said Muiruri.

He added that leaders should lead by example by serving the grass root rather than leading above just to impress the media to stereotype and frame the ‘good’ in them.

“Some leaders only know how to cry of lack of support by the county government yet they cannot attend a simple ceremony to pay respect to people who elected you. This is lack of seriousness,” expressed the MCA.

The MCA however did not speak on the impeachment of Governor Kabogo, saying that it was not time for politics but time to mourn with the bereaved.

The lawmaker extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
