Speaking at his backyard in Bomachoge Chache over the weekend Maangi regretted that the 2007/8 post-election violence was highly fuelled by the electoral process and there was a need for the leaders to ensure that doesn’t occur again.

“The government at sometimes should bend the laws to ensure that they find a common ground that will ensure that every person is ready to go for election with an aim of either winning not losing,” he added.

Though the deputy called upon the opposition to call off their planned demonstrations so that they can have talks with the government and agree on the way forward.

This is the first time Maangi has criticised the Jubilee Party for making wrong decisions since he threw his support.
