As Kenyans we should live in unity, harmony and love and never recognise each other by his/her tribe.

Once we recognise each and everyone as a fellow Kenyan, that’s when we will say Kenya is secure!

But right now we cannot say Kenya is secure when tribalism dominates every part of the country.

I recently followed a post by a prominent opposition leader in his Facebook account and what I saw on the comments was how tribal we are as Kenyans.

The question still remains, when will we get out of this monster called tribalism?

One of the comments says, Ley Walker: We can try but we can’t and we will never get rid of this monster called tribalism because it’s something that we’re born with and we also die with, the only best option we have is to appreciate other and respect each other to the best of our knowledge….”

Perhaps even the mzungu who has stayed in Kenya already knows how we treat each other.

I think it’s time we should consider each other as Kenyan no matter where you come from, no matter your accent because after all Kenya is ours and we will always remain to be Kenyans.

Don't let the politicians divide us along tribal, religious and political lines.

Whenever you go, just know you are Kenyan and Kenya is your country.
