The National Super Alliance (Nasa) has pleaded with Kenyans not to vote for the Jubilee government, in the August 8 poll.
Nasa deputy presidential candidate, Kalonzo Musyoka, said if Jubilee wins for a second term, there could be possibilities that Deputy President William Ruto's political career may shine.
Ruto wants to be the president in 2022, after President Uhuru Kenyatta completes his second term, if re-elected in August.
However, Klonzo who is Ruto's close competitor, told residents in Thraka Nithi, that Ruto should not be made president.
"Just imagine Ruto as a president. How bad will it be. He says he wants to be president in 2022. Where will I be? Jubilee has failed us and there should be no room for Ruto presidency," he said, Friday.
According to him, the only way to kill Ruto's political ambitions, is to ensure Jubilee, under Uhuru, goes home with Nasa being Kenya's fifth governmnet.
"Let's 'finish' this Ruto. This can only be done on August 8, through the ballot. Let's elect Nasa. That is the only way to finish Ruto and Jubilee," said Kalonzo.
He addressed residents in Chuka, alongside presidential candidate Raila Odinga, and co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.
The former vice president shelved his presidential ambitions for Raila, and could possibly vie for presidency in 2022, facing off with Ruto.
