It is Friday night, 11.30pm. You have been drinking with your friends in town and it has suddenly occurred to you that it is getting very late and your phone has one hundred "missed calls" from your wife.
You bid your buddies bye in a rush and hit the road, travelling in a neck-breaking speed in order to reach home before the clock strikes midnight.
A traffic police officer flags you down and tells you to drive to the police station on two charges; overspeeding and drunk driving.
Being a Friday, your case will be heard in court on Monday. What will you do? I assure you, every sensible, right-thinking Kenyan man will engage the officer in a "small" negotiation.
Now if the officer accepts your "small" offer, he or she is only finishing the work that you started.
Put in another way, you are the mastermind while the officer is the accomplice.
So before you put a blanket conclusion that the police are the most corrupt, have a look at yourself in the mirror.
