Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has assured county residents that he is on ODM to stay.
Nyagarama further noted that he is upbeat of clinching the ODM ticket during the party nominations as he seeks to be re-elected in the August 2017 elections.
He at the same time accused his rivals of propagating propaganda that he had been left out of the party, saying he is ready for the primaries which he is sure of winning.
"Am in ODM to stay. The party has not conducted its nominations and no one has been given the ticket hence I would like to caution those propagating lies that Nyagarama has been left out to cease," the county boss said.
He made the remarks on Sunday during a fundraiser at Gianchore PAG Church in West Mugirango.
"Those who want to vie on the ODM ticket have only sent applications as they wait for party nominations which will be free and fair," Nyagarama added.
He added that he has nothing to fear and is upbeat he will be re-elected.
"Am confident of winning my seat again come 2017 hence I have no problems with any candidate," he added.
Nyagarama is likely to face off with West Mugirango MP James Gesami for the ODM ticket, among other aspirants.
