Speaking on Thursday, the Senator urged Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Odinga to condemn increased cases of corruption in Kakamega County.

The Senator challenged Raila not to mince words when he meets delegates from different parts of the Western region during his tour of Kakamega.

He also welcomed the former Prime Minister to the county as he drums up support before the next general election.

“I welcome Raila to Kakamega and thank him for breaking his silence on corruption in Kilifi County,” he said as quoted by Kenya Today.

He added: “As I told him, he must break his silence on the collapse of Bukhungu Stadium and the stage-managed stealing of computers in procurement in Kakamega.”

Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire, however, came out in defense of the former premier saying Cord is not ready to condone graft.

Leaders from various parts of Kenya have lashed out at Raila after he said governors are not to blame for the huge loss of funds.
