President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged political leaders to avoid playing politics in every political event in the country.
Speaking to leaders and locals during the Mashujaa day celebrations on October 20 at Kenyatta stadium in Machakos county, Uhuru said it was not in order for leaders to play politics in every event especially national celebrations.
"Political leaders in the country should avoid playing politics in every event in the country. Today I am not going to play politics because we are celebrating the heroes of the country who fought for our freedom. Leaders should take the cue and avoid politics in every event," said Uhuru.
The president also failed to engage in an exchange with Cord co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka after he claimed that the government had failed to deliver some of its promises to the people.
