[Photo/the-star]President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced that Sunday, October 22, 2017 will be a National Prayer day Speaking from State House in Nairobi on Wednesday, Uhuru called for an extended period of prayer and reconciliation.Uhuru said he reached the decision after consulting with different stakeholders."I call upon all Kenyans to come out on Sunday pray for their country. Let us begin by thanking God for seeing us this far, asking God's blessings for our nation," said Uhuru."We cannot let that which is fleeting sully that which is permanent," noted the president."Let's re-dedicate our nation to Him (God). Let us pray for all our leaders that they may be granted wisdom and to love peace," Uhuru added.
