Ngilu notes that the 2022 succession political debates in  both NASA and Jubilee is denying Kenyans services.

Speaking in Kitui town during a meet the people tour on Saturday, Ngilu argued that politicians are busy discussing 2022 politics at the expense of service delivery to the electorates.

She said Kenyans are going through hard times and need their leaders to deliver on the promises they made during the electioneering period.

"The time for politics is over and us elected leaders we must settle down and work on the pledges we made to Kenyans, " Ngilu said.

Ngilu said there are serious issues, among them environmental degradation, unemployment, drought and others that needs to be tackled.

She asked Kenyans to demand services from their elected leaders.

Ngilu's victory was upheld after the High Court dismissed a petition that was challenging her August 8, 2017 election as the Kitui governor.

Succession politics is already playing out with politicians in Jubilee and NASA strategizing for 2022.

On Saturday, President Uhuru Kenyatta pleaded with elected leaders to put aside politics and serve the people.

Speaking in Machakos,  Uhuru said he will not be taking part in 2022 politics as he is serving his final term.

There have been claims that Uhuru might  stay on beyond 2022.
