Machakos county nominated MCA Anthony Mulu has told off leaders who have been preaching hatred and engaging in divisive politics in the county.Mulu says that politicking is at the expense of development and service delivery to the citizens. The MCA who was speaking on Monday morning to Mlolongo residents said that all the residents of the County should be served transparently and without discrimination.“Let us not always be politicking day after another. When will we bring development to the people of this county?” Mulu asked. The MCA has asked the leaders to shun witch-hunting and baseless politics.“As leaders, we have to be accountable to the people of Machakos. As an MCA of this county, I have to tell the people what I have done for them before I can go tell them about the shortcomings of another leader. This is the only way to move forward otherwise the blame game of who has not done what will remain,” added the MCA.He asked the leaders to stop discriminating their colleagues on the basis of where they come from saying that everyone is a Kenyan and should be left to do their work wherever they are.
