NASA will create jobs for youths and enhance economic growth in Tharaka Nithi if Raila becomes president, the NASA flagbearer has said.
Speaking on Friday in the region on Friday, Raila dismissed as propaganda the recent Jubilee claim that NASA will never expand the economy or create jobs.
He was welcomed by county residents who vowed to support the party if it promises to bring development.
“... hapa tumekuja kama wakulima wa kahawa, wa majani chai na najua wako na shida ... sisi tutahakikisha vijana watapata ajira...” he said.
This loosely translates to:
“We have come here as coffee and tea farmers and we know they have problems [but] we will ensure the youth get employment.”
“Canaan is our destiny and Tharaka Nithi is part of the Kenyans heading to Canaan. Mara hii hakuna kuiba kura tena (This time round there will be no stealing of votes),” Raila said.
He was with running mate Kalonzo Musyoka and another NASA principal Moses Wetang’ula.
