Speaking on Friday during a rally at Nyamira County assembly grounds where a mammoth gathered in support of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Geni told the governor that he has no problem with joining hands and closely working together as a team for the good of the electorate.

“We’re not fighting you and have nothing against you, invite us for dialogue so that we can work together and everything will be okay”, said Geni.

He reminded the governor that he and his team played a key role during his 2013 campaigns, and hence it would not be good if they continue brushing shoulders.

There have been allegations that the county boss might be planning the ODM for another party for fear of losing the nominations to West Mugirango MPJames Gesami who has declared interest in the governorship.

The governor was challenged to lead from the forefront in party activities in order to restore faith and prove loyalty especially in joining the rest of the Cord fraternity in demanding for the disbandment of the IEBC.

Raila promised the governor and all the leaders in the county that the nominations will be free and fair.

He reminded various aspirants that they should put in mind that the seat is already occupied, and should accord the incumbent paramount respect and support for him to deliver for the remaining part of his term.
