Electronics manufacturer LG has appointed Janghoon Chung its new managing Director in charge of East and Central Africa business.
Chung has over 20 years’ experience in leadership and knowledge of the technology industry.
He is the immediate former General Manager of LG washing machine, sales team and was based in South Korea.
His experience within LG spans over 20 years having held various positions including product manager for home appliance in Indonesia, Panama and Columbia. He also played a key role in the restructuring of LG’s subsidiaries in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
Additionally, Chung is also credited for developing and implementing the three subsidiaries’ successful turnaround strategy in 2008.

Chung replaces Tae-ick Son who has been at the helm since 2014. He now takes up a bigger role in West Africa.
