Speaking on Wednesday after it became clear he had lost, Kabogo said he accepts the decision made by the people, and promised to offer support for the incoming team whenever called upon.

“By yesterday, you expressed your desires, I respect that. I thank you all for giving the chance to serve you as your first governor,” he said.

“This afternoon I spoke to Ferdinand Waititu and congratulated him. I wish him well as he serves you the people of Kiambu. I would like to offer him goodwill and support,” he added.

Kabogo lost to waititu in the polls, after he again lost to the former Embakasi MP in the Jubilee Party nominations in April

“My life has not changed and will not stop. It will move on well since I will have enough time, and I will offer them my support whenever they need it,” he added.

The two have been embroiled in war of words, with both attacking each other over their academic credentials.
