Speaking at the weekend during a peace meeting, West Pokot county governor John Lonyangapuo decried that the order has led to bloodshed and loss of property among the peaceful Pokot community.
"If you fail to lift the order then we are ready to vote for Raila Odinga come October 17," said Lonyangapuo.
"It is high time the government cease the fire and engage in peace talks with waring Pokot, Tugen and Marakwet communities," added the county boss.
He asked residents to stop engaging in cattle rustling to enable the government to end the operation.
