According to Chemno, DP Ruto has higher chances of clinching the presidency in 2022 compared to Senator Moi.

The Jubilee deputy governor further said locals in Baringo have only been voting for Senator Moi out of sympathy.

"Moi has no support compared to DP Ruto. In fact, people in Baringo vote for him out of sympathy," said Chemno who also accused the elders of misleading the Kalenjin community to support an individual who has no chance of clinching the top seat.

He further insisted that DP Ruto will succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta whether the elders like it or not.

"Ruto’s presidency plans are unstoppable because Senator Moi cannot be compared with him. It is time elders joined hands and supported Ruto or else they will regret their bad political decisions in 2022,” added the deputy county boss.

This comes just days after a group of Kalenjin elders from Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Elgeyo Marakwet said both Senator Moi and DP Ruto had a right to vie for the presidency in 2022 noting that it is only Kenyans who will pick their next head of state.
