Seven people were on Monday morning seriously injured following road accident near Likoni ferry.

The accident which happened on Mombasa Island near the roundabout saw two 14-seater matatu involve in a head-on collision.

Witnesses said seven occupants of the two matatus including the two drivers were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Police officers from the ferry police station arrived at the scene and to help control traffic.
