Likoni Member of Parliament (MP) Mr Masoud Mwahima has been dropped from the Parliamentary House Committee.
Announcing the recent developments on Thursday, the National Assembly speaker Mr Justin Muturi said that the Likoni legislator and his Ugunja counterpart Opiyo Wandayi have ceased being members of the house committees.
This comes at a time when the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party that has been witnessing a number of its elected legislators decamping to the Jubilee coalition.
Wandayi was sacked from the House committee on Agriculture and Environment while Mwahima was ejected out of the Parliamentary Health Board.
The Speaker, in a parliamentary session, advised the said committee boards to immediately effect the changes.
The new move comes weeks after Wandayi was issued with a notice barring him from setting foot in the legislative House until February 2016 for allegedly disobeying Standing Orders, during the recent State of the Nation Presidential Address.
However, the sacked members of parliament are yet to respond to the reports.
