The department of Youth, Gender, Sports and Cultural affairs together with Sub County Administration and representatives from the Mombasa County Assembly held a meeting to discuss the preparations ahead of the upcoming International Women's Day.

The day will officially be marked on March 8, 2018. 

The ceremony is expected to be held at Mwangala Grounds in Likoni sub county under theme "Press for Progress/Tushinikize Maendeleo."
