Police officers in Likoni are in a hunt for a woman who allegedly burnt her husband with cooking oil on Christmas Day.
Reports from Likoni Police Station indicate that Evelyn Atieno's husband, Bruce Omondi was cheating on her, a move that angered her.
It is believed she purchased two liters of cooking oil from a nearby shop, went home and boiled it, and later poured it on his husband's head, chest, and private parts.
Likoni OCPD Willy Simba confirmed the incident, saying the 30-years-old lady committed the inhumane incident when her husband was still sleeping, Sunday morning.
The victim's cry for help awoke neighbors who came to his rescue, taking him to Coast General Hospital for medication.
Omondi however said the wife had issued threats of killing him some day.
Simba condemned the incident and urged couples not to take legal action in their hands during domestic quarrels.
