Speaking at Limuru town on Sunday, Muragumi said many households in the area have no access to electricity since they cannot afford the money to have power supplied to them.

“The government should make access to electricity cheaper so that many people can access it,” he said.

The MCA said that development is being slowed in the constituency because people have no access to electricity.

Muragumi said that electricity and energy is an important factor for development to be realised.

He further asked the government to make sure that electricity is supplied to all schools in the constituency.

“In order for our students to perform well, the government must supply electricity to all schools,” added Muragumi.

The MCA promised to follow up with the government so ensure electricity is supplied to all households in the constituency before the next general election.
