Limuru Youths have called on Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo not to relent in empowering the youths and working for the betterment of the county.

The youths who termed the governor as the leader of action for the many empowering program he has initiated in the county said they are proud of his development record.  

Through the Kiambu County Sports and Youths CeC Michael Waikenda they have cited the ongoing Kiambu Championship cup and Youth empowerment Programme which has empowered more than 50,000 youths in county's 60 wards as sign of good leadership.

Waikenda  who was speaking on Thursday at Ngecha ward in Limuru Sub County where Kabogo gave a donation of three tents to the Limuru women group as their income generating project told the governor that the Kiambu youths have asked him not to tire in development.

“Youths have vowed to back you and we urge you to continue with good work you are doing of empowering youths,” said Waikenda addressing a meeting attended by Kabogo.

His sentiments were supported by Martin Ndung’u, a youth, who said that the governor is a leader of action and as youths they acknowledge his development.

Ndung’u called on area leaders to emulate the governor.  

He noted that the recent project of empowering people with disability and women in the county indicates the governor is not selective in development.
