Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi claims that members of Jubilee Party are dissatisfied but are unable to express their dissatisfaction for fear of being whipped out of the party.
Speaking during NTV's AMLive show on Tuesday, Mithika insisted that Jubilee Party members have a lot of grievances but cannot express them because they have been awarded a space to do so.
"We can not compare what is happening in CORD and what is happening in Jubilee. The centre that keep them moving are different the CORD side is led by people who are permanently in the opposition with an agenda of trying to acquire power. The others are already in power and you expect them to do anything they are told without asking questions even if they are dissatisfied. The space to raise opposite views is completely muted," he explained.
"People in Jubilee are quiet but it does not mean all is well. It is because most of them are not able to raise their voices and speak against what is happening," he added
Linturi said that, as promised, all Jubilee members expected the announcement of the interim committee during the launch of the party at Kasarani and subsequently at the National Governing Council (NGC) meeting held at the Bomas which did not happen.
"After the launch of the Jubilee Party in Kasarani, what people expected was that the president and his deputy were to name interim national officials who would succeed which has not happened," he said
"The expectations of NGC which was at the Bomas was that Kenyans would be told the interim leaders to run Jubilee party, what we got was a team of campaign managers. If you do your research today, people are very dissatisfied. But Nobody is able to talk about it because they are afraid," he added.
