Meru Senator Mithika Linturi has sued the University of Nairobi (UoN) following its decision to deregister him as a student barely two weeks ago.
Linturi has issued a certificate of urgency wanting the deregistration suspended pending determination of the suit.
He has faulted the learning institution’s move “for acting unreasonably and in an utter show of bad faith.
Through lawyer Tom Ojienda, Linturi has accused the university of taking the action without according him an opportunity to defend himself.
In his defense, Linturi said his academic records are clean and rubbished claims that even his secondary school certificates are forged.
Linturi now wants UoN compelled to reinstate and or re-admit him as a student and include his name on the graduation list.
